The Doncaster Data Observatory will enable data analysts from Doncaster Council and partner agencies, including Doncaster College, South Yorkshire Police and NHS Doncaster to work together to provide a single, flexible research service, where specialist research skills and expertise are brought together to facilitate the provision of high quality information, that provides evidence in support of strategy and policy.
Data analysts will work together, sharing information and ideas whilst remaining embedded within their current organisations, allowing them to build up their skills and knowledge base whilst also staying connected to the policies and issues of their organisation.
The Observatory aims to provide information and intelligence that:
Informs the development of policies and plans across Doncaster
Increases understanding to support the main population based needs assessment reports
Improves the sharing of research, best practice, data and intelligence among partners and minimises duplication
